If you are looking for potential investment opportunities, there are a variety of emerging technologies under development in faculty labs and at our business incubator. Licensing opportunities are available through the Center for Science and Technology Commercialization (CSTC).

A key source of investment opportunity is the Uconn R&D Corporation which initiates new business start-ups based on innovative technologies developed by the faculty and staff. The Uconn R&D Corp, working with CSTC, takes technologies that have the capacity to be a platform for a new company and generates the business plan, leadership team, and capital necessary to form one.

Uconn R&D Corp strives to provide investors with detailed information about University research and business opportunities. UCONN’s technologies are in various stages of development, ranging from concept stage to technologies seeking funding for prototype development and commercialization. Typically, the technology is an early stage investment opportunity where investor involvement is extensive.

Uconn R&D Corp welcomes investors with expertise in specific industry areas that mirror the University’s research strengths.

Companies within the UCONN Technology Incubation Program located at Storrs, Avery Point (Groton, CT), and the UCONN Health Center (Farmington, CT) also offer investment potential in industries ranging from energy to nanotechnology to bioscience.
